Following the second tutor observation during an assignment workshop, it was highlighted that it would be useful for learners to have a progress / tracking form to aid their assignment completion. The purpose being to allow them to see visually how they are progress and to be able to add questions or queries in relation to the assignment.
In essence it is a tool to identify differentiation – to allow learners to work at their own pace and identify their own needs. It allows for learners to take take ownership and responsibility for their own learning and developing, incorporating the hidden curriculum elements into the process and developing transferable business skills. These aid employability and a sense of achievement for learners also.
